So much for the PROVEN! Nicely written book covering important parts of trading and providing a potentially profitable system. I appreciated the authors encouraging writing style.

There were a few typos but nothing that detracted from the content. A couple of points were unclear in the system however and it would be very helpful for the author to clarify these. For long setups should the close of the setup bar be a minimum 60 pips below the 8 LWMA and for a short the close of the setup bar be a minimum of 60 pips above the 8 LWMA? These questions may have obvious answers in the charts provided by my version of kindle did not allow me to zoom in clearly enough to be certain of these points.

The book describes something, which might be a tradable system after some work on it. The reason why I did write that it presents a “system” because once you start to test it, you will find many situations, which you do not know how to handle based on the description in the book, and you may quickly find that either options you choose lead to loosing money in the long run. Therefore, I believe that there is an important element in this system, which was omitted in the book and you should not blindly follow what was written before running backtesting and finding satisfactory way to trade the system.

Also I suspect that those missing elements are covered at the coaching sessions and this book is a kind of advertisement. One person found this helpful. The method in this book is simplicity refined in my opinion. I've been trading for a long time, and I wish I would've come across this book early in my journey.

If you want to learn something, read a book on it. It'll shorten your learning curve by years. You can't go wrong with the instructions in this book. Truly recommend reading. Having been around the trading industry since early 's have not come across such a detailed but very simple way of trading. The strategy outlines how to use long term charts, trade and spend a minimum amount of time doing so ie approx.

This book has a detailed amount of information that is well laid out and would allow a novice trader to start simulated trading very quickly. Having spent many years trading 5,10,15 min charts, the one phrase that stuck out for me was that with this strategy was all about "time freedom" and having "your money work for you". In other words you are not trading "hours for dollars" using this strategy. A wise and low cost investment in trading information, simply laid out.

The initial stop loss is clearly explained, however at which point to move to break-even and how to trail stop from then are very vaguely and briefly explained.

Lacks details. The website mentioned in the book does not work. The book listed 7 pairs and mentioned that it can be extended to 10, but without saying which extra 3 pairs. The book mentioned a subscription service which has a myfxbook page.

The page stopped updating from Oct, Report abuse. Full disclosure: I have used this method in backtesting and demo only, I use the settings on Tradingview and MT4. I do use the top 8 currencies and their variations - so 28 pairs is what I trade - I have backtested on the daily and 4 H charts many pairs but not all with a 2 year backdate and forward tested in Demo for 2 months with great success and also used the settings for stocks.

Very high win rate and because it was the daily chart big wins. This book offers info on psychology, money management and strategy. This will likely be the strategy I use for a very long time, I see no reason to change or use any other strategy. The proof will be in Live trading, but I was hitting and pip trades so even less in live trading will still be great.

For the money, this is a hidden Gem and it fits MY trading style daily charts. If you are tired of not winning and looking for a change this may be it. Bought the book despite the fact that some reviewers were pointing to the issue that the author did not take all signals in the charts that, according to the rules, should have been taken. The methodology is also not explained entirely but this is only a minor problem. Additionally that not all signals were taken, that mostly would have turned out to be losers, there are no statistics or anything else that would justify the expression "proven" in the book title.

Verified Purchase. Overall the author explains simple and basic ideas and techniques that have been explained in many other books. A good read for beginners. Based on how she writes, the author seemed like a good lady. She claims she won a forex trading competition with FXCM using this strategy. However, I'm quite skeptical about it.

I believe she won the contest as shown by her proof. But I don't think this is the strategy that she used. If this was the strategy that she used, she must have been just lucky. Here's why. She even showed a two year back test to try to prove it. However, as I was following her back test on my charts, with the same settings and the same candle close time, there were a lot of trades that she missed out that should have been taken based on her rules. These trades were unprofitable and there were many of them.

I tried to contact her through her facebook group page, showed her the charts and asked for some enlightenment why she didn't take those trades. It has been about a week now and still no reply. The strategy is a crossover strategy with some unique twists to it. It is a combination of a very fast MA and a moderately slower MA.

The thing with crossover strategies is that they used to be very popular and was relatively profitable, but they seem to have stopped working. MA crossovers should be good at catching big trends but they just don't work on choppy ranging markets. Those parts of the chart were there were trades that were missed out were phases when the market started to whipsaw her MAs.

I was hoping that this was different because she claims she has a proof using her FXCM win. But I guess it might not be so. I might still change my mind and change my view on her strategy if she would respond to my query on the trades that were missed out that should have been taken based on her rules. Besides the many grammatical mistakes in the book, the system itself is explained poorly and contradictorily.

While the entry signals and triggers are clear to me although somewhat arbitrary , the rules for moving a stop loss are explained in 3 different ways and really I have no idea on how to follow this method after opening a trade.

She uses only the 1 day charts, but for a swing trader 4 hour charts are also meaningful and since the arbitrary 60 pips within the 8 day MA is, well, arbitrary, the whole method seems to fall. The illustrations are BAAAAD and I have the printed version of the book; I can only imagine what a mess the Kindle version can be. Apparently there is a new version of the book but I doubt I will buy it, since there is no guarantee that my concerns will be addressed.

Somebody says that the example of a 2 years trade on GBPUSD conveniently miss a few trades which would have been clearly losses. I cannot confirm this only because, as I said, the illustrations are terrible.
